Infisical has announced a $40 million Series B round that values the San Francisco company at $600 million.

Elad Gil, a returning investor from the Series A, led the round. Gradient and Y Combinator also back the company. The Series B round brings the total funding to nearly $60 million.

Infisical provides tools for managing secrets, encryption keys, and digital certificates, along with privileged access management, covering cloud, on-premises, and AI infrastructure.

More than 1,300 organizations use its products, among them Airbus, Volkswagen, Hugging Face, and Wise.

With Infisical’s Agent Vault, AI agents can reach sensitive systems without ever being given the underlying credentials. The agent works with placeholders, while the actual secrets are injected at a proxy and never reach it. All agent requests pass through Infisical and are logged.

“Agents need access to company systems to do their jobs, but giving them actual passwords and API keys is a major security risk. We let agents get their job done safely without ever having those credentials in their hands,” said Vlad Matsiiako, Infisical’s co-founder and CEO.

Infisical plans to spend the money on speeding up product development, hiring for its engineering and go-to-market teams, and further developing its AI agent security capabilities.

“AI agents are becoming a new class of users inside every enterprise, and securing their access will be one of the biggest cybersecurity challenges of the next decade,” Gil noted.
